Welcome from the Pastor

My name is Pastor Darren Squires. I am originally from Aynor, SC, and I am also a graduate of Aynor High School. I am happily married to a beautiful lady named Diana Squires. She is from Conway, SC, and also was a graduate of Conway High School. We both were in the graduating class of 1989. I am also the proud parent of two awesome children, Darren Jr. and Danielle Marie.

I became a Born Again Christian on Feb. 18th,, 1996, and became a member of the White Savannah Freewill Baptist Church in Conway, SC.

I announced the call to preach on May 12th ,1997, and I immediately started preaching as an Evangelist and Supply Preacher. I was blessed to also sing in a Quartet with my two brothers and my nephew. This gave me a great chance to be part of several styles of worship and in various denominations. This helped me in opportunities as Revivals were opened and also youth rallies and plus special services. I then went through the Ordination process and was Ordained to preach on Oct. 28th, 1998.

I have served on the Executive Board in our Association since 1999, and have also served on our State board on two consecutive year terms. I accepted the position of Full Time Pastor of the Socastee Original Freewill Baptist Church on Sep. 1st, 1999. I am still excited all these years later as we work together to see our Church grow spiritually and physically. I pray that the Lord will allow us to stay here until the Rapture!

The Lord has blessed us to be able to take 5 mission trips overseas to Israel, Romania and even Hungry. I have also been given the chance to preach in several states across America in Revivals. We have also preached on four different radio stations broadcasting across four states since 1998. The Lord gave us several chances to be on local cable stations across SC on various television programs. Over the years, our Tract, VHS, Cassette and CD ministry has reached tens of thousands of people with many testimonies of salvation. We are now taking on a NEW ministry, the World Wide Web, and through this we are hoping to reach people all across the world. I pray it will be a Blessing to you.
